Ring Shopping
Mike and I decided to go look at wedding bands because we had a free day recently. We ended up ordering them because we found exactly what we wanted.

I always thought that I wanted the same setting as my engagement ring – I like things to match and look neat. But, once I was at the  jeweler I realized that if you select the same setting for your wedding band it takes away from your engagement ring setting.

So, I decided on a flatter setting with the same size diamonds as the side diamonds on my engagement ring. The diamonds on the wedding band almost go around the entire band. Many jewelers have advised us against choosing a band that has diamonds going all the way around because if you lose one diamond it will create a domino affect. Plus, if you have diamonds going all the way around it is very hard to size.

We are early in ordering them, and should be getting them by the end of June. We figured it is better to do things sooner than later. Also, it is good to start looking six months beforehand because you may not find the wedding bands you want on the first trip, and you want to be 100 percent sure that you will have them on time.

Wow, I almost forgot to tell you about Mike’s wedding band. His is very masculine, which we both liked. I thought some of the bands were too thin for men, but his is heavy, thick, and rose a little, so it looked very handsome.

Both rings are being made right now!
