Bridal Shower Surprise
I am speechless! My bridesmaids and my mother are amazing. They made my bridal shower like a fairy tale for me. They chose everything I would love and it all took my breath away. I knew the date all along but I didn’t know where it was. My fiancé drove me there which was fun, because every place we passed I was like is that where it is! Ha ha!

It ended up being at a placed called Regina’s in Teaneck. The place is amazing and is so “me.” When my sister and mother saw the place they knew the shower had to be there.

The restaurant has big doors that open up to the outside with beautiful drapes, chandeliers, lion heads, a gorgeous lounge/bar area, along with a very intimate restaurant.  I had never been there before my shower, but now I want to go back for dinner immediately. The food was delicious and the wait staff was very good. The manager, Bernie, really took care of us. He made sure our every wish was granted. My mom and sister told me he was great to work with.

Then my bridesmaids took the shower to a whole new level. The party consisted of about 60 women, some of which had traveled pretty far to be there, which I appreciated greatly!

Future brides: Remember to thank your bridesmaids, your mother and your guests!

When I first pulled up to the restaurant my sister and niece were waiting outside for me with a glass of champagne with a strawberry in it. What is better than that! Mike came in with me and we made our way around to everyone to say “hi,” and thank them for coming.

The details my girls went into were above and beyond! They had pink and brown (my wedding colors) cupcakes made from scratch that were so good they melted in your mouth. The favors were little sachet brown dresses with polka dots and a lavender scent, and it was on a mini hanger. Adorable! My sister filled a bin with holiday decorations because decorations are a big to-do in our family. She had my niece and nephew put their handprints all over the bin in paint – very cute and creative! The centerpieces were jars filled with brown coffee beans (Mike and I love coffee) and beautiful pink Gerber daisies. The girls also framed my invitation to the shower for me in a shadow box with flowers around it. They had everyone bring a recipe which they put into a book for me. They had a basket of candles, and they did the candle bridal shower poem to go with them. (If you don’t know what that is, look it up because it is very sweet!) They made a scrapbook of the pictures showing the process of the wedding so far. They also gave me a gift certificate to a frame place near my house so Mike and I could get wedding pictures framed. It was the perfect gift! They know me so well.

What can I say...My bridesmaids and mother gave me a perfect day!
