You're never too old for a slumber party

I invited my bridesmaids over for a sleepover, and the next morning we went into New York City to buy the bridesmaids dresses. We all brought sleeping bags and pillows and sprawled across my sister’s basement – It was an amazing night.

Everyone had a chance to bond. The girls brought over some delicious food and we had some time for girl chat, drinks and “vegging” out. Nothing is better than that. The next morning, we went to The Wedding Library in the city to order the dresses, which we had already picked out but not yet ordered.

When we arrived at The Wedding Library they were having free makeovers upstairs, which was fun. Then, they took each girl to get their measurements done. I know my bridal party was worried about being measuring in front of everyone, or having their measurement numbers called out, but it was nothing like that. Each girl was taken into a separate area, and it was very professional.

The dresses had to be paid for in full so The Wedding Library could place the order. The dresses should be arriving in about 12 weeks. The Wedding Library does not do alterations, so we will be getting the dresses altered in New Jersey.

The staff at The Wedding Library is extremely knowledgeable and very professional. They have a great selection. They are up-to-date on all the new trends, and very pleasant to work with.

We did some shopping after we ordered the dresses and grabbed lunch. I had so many good laughs with my girlfriends. They are too good to me!

When you have a big event, like ordering the bridesmaid dresses, I would definitely suggest having a slumber party beforehand – it brings everyone together for some fun.
